    Abstract
    There are various forms of domestic violence; Physical abuse, Emotional abuse, Economic abuse and Psychological abuse. One which is common but unspoken of is Economic abuse. It is identified when a husband asks the wife to quit her work and become a housewife to take care of the family and the children while he becomes the breadwinner or vice versa. In the incidence of the spouse refusing to quit, he or she is forced into it thus equating to economic abuse as a form of domestic violence.
