dc.description.abstractThis research determines and analyzes the challenges that environmental conservation body’s face when trying to deal with the issue of illegal dumping of waste in the area of reporting of such incidents. It looks at how mobile phone technology can be used to help them in this issue.It specifically looks at the issue of illegal dumping of waste in undesignated areas within Nairobi. At the conclusion of the research, there is the development of a mobile and web application that the environmental conservation bodies will use in reporting of cases of illegal dumping of waste as well as in interacting with the public in the process of information sharing.en_US
