Abstract

Child sexual abuse is an emotive and sensitive issue in today’s world. It is a vice that shocks and traumatizes the victims and undermines the status of females in society. In recent years, the World Health Organization estimated that 30% of all pregnant sexual abuse victims are children aged below 15 years. Abortion as a topic is divisive issue around the world, following the 1973 US Supreme Court decision of Roe v Wade declared that a restriction on abortion (before the foetus is viable) which places an undue burden on the mother. unconstitutional.
