Mental health is an important part of society. It affects the output of a nation as a whole. Counselling plays an important role in mental health as it helps manage mental health cases and clients are more mentally able to deal with life’s toughest situations. Majority of counselling sessions are held within the offices of counsellors. During times such as the Corona Virus pandemic, there’s restricted access to physical meetings. Some people suffer from social anxiety hence making it difficult to attend physical counsellor sessions. The aim of this project was to develop a mobile-based application for counsellors and their counsellors to meet up virtually and have counselling sessions. They are able to schedule their meetings. The client will be free to initiate a meeting if need be. The application is mobile based and developed for an Android platform. The languages used are Java and XML which are one of the recommended languages for developing Android applications. The database is Firebase Firestore and Firebase Real-time database as it offers a real-time database management system and offers transactional support. The project is a valuable tool in helping clients improve their mental well-being and enabling counsellors to be more flexible in how they meet up with their clients. Virtual counselling should not take precedence over physical meetings but it can offer help in times when having a physical meeting is not an option. The system uses object oriented approach design. The methodology it uses is the object modellinh technique. This is because it uses a nice technique for abstracting and modelling the system enabling one to reuse codeen_US
