    Abstract
    The level of security of a country is one of the major factors that will enable or disable it focus on improving its economy. The incidences of violence and insecurity in the country, and the government’s inaction or lack of response has led members of the public to question the central government’s ability to effectively perform its primary duty of protecting and providing the constitutional freedoms, which mainly include; the right to life and the right to security of persons.Issues of crime and insecurity are viewed as major challenges in the country, in both urban and rural areas.
