dc.description.abstract | I will focus on 'developmental research' (mainly qualitative) relating to teaching and teachers
and the development of teaching (at the university level). Collaboration between teachers and
researchers, with teachers as researchers, is central to the developmental processes which the
research informs. Inquiry processes in teaching mathematics and in activity with students will
also be central. I shall ask participants to bring some data with them for discussion of approaches
to analyzing it according to their research questions. An important part of this will be
considerations of how the research process feeds back into teaching knowledge and new insights
for practice. | en_US |
